1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SpeakHired ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Use of Service

SpeakHired grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, truthful information when creating your account and resume
• Use the Service only for lawful purposes
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or misuse the AI models or infrastructure
• Not submit content that is offensive, misleading, or violates the rights of others
• Not share your account credentials with others

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms at our sole discretion.

3. Payment Terms

SpeakHired offers a free tier and a paid Pro plan. By subscribing to the Pro plan, you agree to the following:

• Monthly subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis. Your subscription will automatically renew each month unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• Lifetime access is a one-time payment that grants you access to Pro features indefinitely, as long as the Service is available.
• All payments are processed securely by Stripe. By providing your payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees to your payment method.
• Prices are listed in USD and are subject to change. We will provide reasonable notice before increasing prices for existing subscribers.

4. Refund Policy

7-Day Money-Back Guarantee: If you are not satisfied with SpeakHired Pro for any reason, you may request a full refund within 7 days of your initial purchase — no questions asked. This applies to both monthly subscriptions and lifetime access purchases.

To request a refund, contact us at hello@speakhired.com within 7 days of your purchase date. Please include the email address associated with your account.

After the 7-day window, monthly subscription charges are non-refundable. Cancelling a monthly subscription stops future charges but does not generate a refund for the current billing period. You will retain Pro access until the end of the paid period.

5. Intellectual Property

Your content: You retain ownership of all content you provide, including your work history, skills, and any voice recordings. By using the Service, you grant SpeakHired a limited license to process your content solely to provide the Service to you.

Our content: The SpeakHired name, logo, website design, software, and AI-generated resume templates are the intellectual property of SpeakHired. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

6. AI-Generated Content

The resumes and cover letters generated by SpeakHired are produced by AI and are provided as a starting point. You are responsible for reviewing, verifying, and ensuring the accuracy of all content before submitting it to employers. SpeakHired does not guarantee employment outcomes or the suitability of generated content for any specific job application.

7. Limitations of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SpeakHired and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of employment opportunities or income
• Inaccuracies in AI-generated resume or cover letter content
• Data loss or service interruptions
• Any damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to SpeakHired in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the United States.

11. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you via email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
